Prediction: Aaron Murray Will Win Starting QB Spot

When you are the starting QB on a team with 10 returning offensive starters, game management and precision are of the utmost importance to your eventual success. I have a hunch, Aaron Murray will be the most-prepared to lead the team offensively by the time we open the college football season against the Ragin’ Cajuns of Louisiana-Lafayette (BIG UP! to Big Lake). Should we have had a tougher opening game opponent, I may have favored Logan Gray because he has more experience in the program. None of our three candidates have any real game experience – Logan threw a few balls, got racked on a few way too obvious QB sneaks and fair caught dangerous punts. He can pass but may be another Joe Tereshinski III for us – a solid special teams and situational player who should never be called upon to be a starting QB at GEORGIA. Both the super highly-ranked recruit Aaron Murray and the big-armed Zach Mettenberger seemed to have Future Starter Somewhere written all over them, until Zach got popped for underage drinking and fake ID. Look for number 11 – who seems to me to favor old Dallas Cowboys QB Danny White in skill set and look – to be in the pocket on that first glorious day of the season. We’ll see how spring practice and the G-Day Game play out first.

Before you know: It Will Be Saturday, In Athens.
