UGA to Retake ATL in 2011
GEORGIA will kickoff the 2011 football season in The ATL against national power Boise State at 8 pm on September 3rd in the Georgia Dome. For the 2011 season to be a complete success coming off two less than stellar campaigns, UGA must win in Atlanta three times: including at Tech on November 26th and in the SEC Championship Game on December 3rd.
To get there we must beat our SEC rivals. Defending SEC East Champ South Carolina travels to Athens on September 10th and defending SEC West Champ Auburn visits the Classic City on November 12th.
Our two biggest challenges out of state: At Tennessee’s Rocky Top on October 8th and versus Florida in Jacksonville at the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. Georgia pushed Florida to overtime behind redshirt freshman QB Aaron Murray, before blowing a golden opportunity to right that ship. And our past two games played at Neyland Stadium have resulted in UT blowing out UGA twice. We weren’t blown out in any game this season and may need to find a way to beat both Florida and Tennessee in the same year to reclaim the SEC East throne.
