National Signing Day
Wednesday February 4th is National Signing Day for High School football players. Per usual, the University of Georgia Bulldogs have a top ten class underway with many stellar recruits long ago having signed non-binding letters of intent. Binding agreements are signed for the first time today.
A. Murray is the top QB recruit in the nation. Out of Tampa, he signed with UGA and is already on campus. He hopes to fill the shoes of Matthew Stafford (a similarly regarded recruit) after fifth-year senior/first-year starter Joe Cox finally gets his shot. I expect Joe to step up and play really well and Murray to redshirt. Abry is the big defensive line scoop and has the potential to bring the passrush back to the Dawgs this upcoming season.
I expect Georgia to contend for another SEC title, which also always means a shot at the National Title if the cards line up. To stay top ten for so many years (7 of 8 years) requires talent, and talent comes to the Classic City on National Signing Day. Enjoy and as always, GO DAWGS!!!
