2018 GEORGIA Football Schedule:
BIG HAIRY BLAWG by Han Vance has passionately covered Georgia Football for over ten years and currently posts new content at www.BulldawgIllustrated.com
9/1 Austin Peay – 1-0
9/8 at South Carolina – 2-0 (1-0 SEC)
9/15 MTSU – 3-0 (1-0)
9/22 at Missouri – 4-0 (2-0)
9/29 Tennessee – 5-0 (3-0)
10/6 Vanderbilt-Homecoming – 6-0 (4-0)
10/13 (3:30-CBS) at LSU – Haven’t met since Murray over Mettenberger and both teams having very strong early seasons.
10/27 (3:30-CBS) Florida (Jacksonville) – Dawgs have won 4-of-7 Cocktail Parties and beat them 42-7 in 2018 after three losses followed three wins.
11/3 at Kentucky – Hear bluegrass country is pretty. Kentucky football is surging.
11/10 Auburn – Dawgs have won 10-of-13 in Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry, including 1-1 last season.
11/17 UMass – Way too many cupcakes (could hurt us bad nationally).
11/24 Tech – Jackets have won in Athens twice in a row.
12/1 SEC Championship Game – Dawgs 2nd consecutive trip appears highly likely.
Preseason Summation: Toughest spot on paper is LSU, although Auburn is projected to have most talent of opponents. Kirby failed miserably in both road games versus SEC West so far, and Auburn may give Georgia a strong challenge in Athens, where they have had a terrible go of it of late. Early in the year like it used to always be, the Border Bash sees Chickens improved enough to compete with road Dawgs maybe, with UGA facing lots of key personnel replacement on both sides of ball. I see Georgia having a good chance to go undefeated over SEC East again, with new coaches at only other traditional powers Florida and Tennessee. Georgia is projected to be favored in every game on the schedule and another trip to Atlanta looks probable. With our roster undergoing such major upheaval now, the 2019 squad could be even stronger.
