Dawgs Still Competing for SEC East Title

GEORGIA has gone 3-17 versus Florida over the last twenty years. And UGA can go to 2-2 over a four-year stretch with a win, which would be marked improvement of late.

GEORGIA owns the all-time record over Florida and we are favored to win today against a wounded Gator squad coming off a bye week, which followed a three-game losing skid. DAWGS have won three in a row and topped forty points in each of the consecutive conference games. Florida represents a big step up in competition.

Should GEORGIA beat Florida today and Carolina lose two more conference games, UGA, UF and USC could potentially all have 4-4 conference records at seasons end, according to my schedule projections. In that case, GEORGIA would win the three-way tiebreaker scenario as Carolina would be eliminated due to inferior SEC East divisional record. In the next round of tiebreaker, UF would be eliminated due to head-to-head loss versus UGA. So, we still have a clean shot at the East title as we kickoff at 3:30 for the World’s Largest Cocktail Party.¬†Carolina is playing Tennnessee as I write this, it’s 10-10 at the half. Carolina also plays Arkansas and at The Swamp. We need Carolina to lose twice and we must win today, and even if we drop the upcoming game against top-ranked Auburn, the three-way tiebreakers favor GEORGIA.

AJ Green has yet to win in Jacksonville, and I expect a huge game from him today.
